To those who care about fair elections:
We’re a grassroots team of election integrity activists. Our goal: official election results in the Arizona Presidential Preference Election (Presidential Primary) that accurately represent the votes of all qualified voters who attempted to vote.
If the results of the March 22, 2016 election are certified without full investigation and remediation, we are prepared to contest the election in court. Should an investigation reveal problems significant enough to have affected the outcome of the election, we will seek a re-vote in June as remedy.
Funds are urgently needed to retain our selected legal counsel and file the lawsuit.
As you may know, a number of very serious things went wrong in Arizona on March 22nd:
1) Our preliminary forensics indicate that at least 150,000 voters in the state’s largest county, Maricopa, were disenfranchised by prohibitive wait times at the polls (in many cases reaching up to six hours), owing to a massive reduction in polling places.
Maricopa County had only 1/6 the number of polling places in this election as in the 2008 Presidential Preference Election, the last similar election when no incumbent was running. Many voters waited for most of a business day, but many others were forced to return to jobs or left for health or disability reasons, without being able to vote.
2) due to registration issues: despite having registered with the party of their choice, voters’ registrations were listed as invalid or featured the wrong party affiliation or no party affiliation, disqualifying them from receiving a ballot listing their candidate of choice.
This affected voters from both major political parties. Many individuals facing this issue were turned away from the polls; others used provisional ballots, the vast majority of which were not counted.
3) The reported numbers for Arizona’s statewide election day turnout simply do not add up: a comparison to 2008 shows a slight increase in early voter turnout, yet a staggering decrease in election-day turnout numbers which does not match with what clearly took place. One Arizona news outlet reported an estimate of 800,000 voters at the polls, yet the recorded ballot totals are nowhere near reflecting this.
4) A number of early ballots were invalidated for unexplained reasons. For these reasons, and more, it is vital to challenge the certification of this election through legal action. We hope that you will consider standing with us by donating to our campaign; all of us, nationwide, will ultimately benefit from this struggle for a more transparent democracy, free of disenfranchisement and voter suppression.
IMPORTANT: This is preliminary emergency funding to get our case filed within the very tight window the law requires. We’ll be doing a separate fundraising campaign for the case as a whole, so stay tuned!
-Why are we asking for money?
Every cent raised through this campaign will be used for legal fees and directly associated costs. Our lead counsel is attorney Michael Kielsky of Udall Shumway PLC. He has been involved in a number of highly relevant election cases.
-Why launch a grassroots legal action? Why can’t the campaigns deal with it themselves?
Elections belong to the people, not the candidates! Regardless of who was disenfranchised in Arizona — and regardless of who they intended to vote for — the people must stand up for the rights of voters. This is an issue that goes beyond candidate, beyond party.
What took place in Arizona on March 22 was an affront to basic democratic principles, and has implications for the future of democracy nationwide. In fact, there are increasing reports of similar cases of voter disenfranchisement through faulty registration occurring in several other primary states that have yet to vote. As election integrity advocates, we must necessarily be non-partisan, separate from official ties to any specific party or campaign. By standing together, we can do what a single campaign’s legal team cannot.

Those e-voting, e-scanning machines are a bigger hurdle for Sanders. Perhaps, like Obama, Sanders has chosen, instead of fighting now for hand counted paper ballot evidence, instead he is pushing to increase the number of voters to overwhelm pre-set numbers. But, I think you are doing a wonderful job to challenge now and I believe Sanders has his lawyers looking at Arizona also.
Yet, even the head counted, hand counted evidence in caucuses are tough fights. This is an amazing story of Nevada which Bernie just won back at their county convention. See:

Bernie Sanders Wins the Nevada Caucus After All

After the Clark County Democratic Convention, Bernie Sanders has flipped his close Nevada caucus loss to a win at the convention stage. The Sanders campaign pulled out a victory in Nevada’s most populous county at this weekend’s convention at the Cashman Center in Las Vegas.

The Credentials Committee for the Clark County Democratic Convention determines who exactly qualifies as a bona fide delegate in the event an unelected alternate steps in to become an official delegate. The committee is made up of four members appointed by Clark County Democratic Party Chair Chris Miller, with two representatives for Hillary Clinton and two representatives for Bernie Sanders in the interest of fairness.
On Friday night, accusations of cheating came from both sides, which resulted in the attempted removal of credential committee chair Christine Kramar.
“We caught the Hillary campaign cheating, we caught the Nevada Democratic Party secretary cheating,” said Angie Sullivan, another member of the credentials committee for the Clark County Democratic Convention. “When it was apparent Bernie started winning, they really turned up the heat.”
Sullivan alleges that the Clark County Democratic Party (CCDP) was sharing information with the Hillary Clinton campaign that was not being shared with the Bernie Sanders campaign, and this is why Kramer copied a Sanders campaign contact on an email correspondence with CCDP officials and Clinton campaign officials.
However, Clinton campaign attorney Marc E. Elias told a different story in a threatening email sent to CCDP Chair Chris Miller. Elias ordered Miller to remove Kramar from the credentials committee due to her sharing allegedly proprietary information belonging to the Clinton campaign with the Sanders campaign.
But Kristal Glass, a Sanders delegate who was also a member of the credentials committee, told US Uncut that Kramar was simply acting as an independent arbiter in accordance with party bylaws by making sure all parties were included in conversations about the convention.
“It was her job to make sure everything was fair leading up to the Friday night early registration,” Glass said. “[Kramar] CC’d the Sanders campaign about a conversation happening that they weren’t included in, which was against the convention process.”
Then, Glass alleged that Michelle White, political director for Hillary Clinton’s Nevada campaign, was pressuring volunteers at the registration site to register alternates as delegates.
“We had a member of a campaign walking around with a computer showing volunteers, saying, ‘They’re approved, so go ahead and add them,’” Glass told US Uncut. “It has to be brought to the credentials committee to vet the entire thing, that’s what our responsibility is.”
“You don’t change the rules at the 11th hour to favor your candidate,” Sullivan said.
After Kramar reminded the Clinton campaign and CCDP officials of the party bylaws, all hell broke loose when CCDP officials attempted to act on the orders received from Marc Elias to remove Kramar as chair by calling an executive session.
“The Sanders campaign attorney came by and told Christine, ‘They had some meetings about you and they’re going to remove you,’ they said they didn’t like her tone, and all of these excuses, and it was just lies to get the delegate count their way,” Glass said. “They wanted all the people who came to the caucus as alternates so they could be converted over.”

But on the day of the actual convention, the CCDP pulled out all the stops to prevent Kramar from participating, even calling the police to remove her from the premises. That was when the other three members of the credentials committee, including the two delegates for Hillary Clinton, linked arms and sat down in the middle of the convention floor in solidarity with Kramar.
“They told her she was trespassing, even though she’s the credentials chair and an elected delegate,” Sullivan said. “We stood up to them and said, you’re not going to do this.”
At the 1:20 mark of the video below, the officer reads the trespassing statute to the seated members of the credentials committee, but then reiterates that he won’t be arresting them.
